Privacy PolicyTerms of UseGame support

This Privacy Policy explains how NoviDoc Games ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Out of Place: Think & Move (the "App") and contact us about it. The publisher’s identity is also shown on the App’s store listing. Our Terms of Use explain the rules for using the App.

1. Information we handle

Local game data

The App saves your selected and unlocked levels, best scores, star ratings, tutorial and story progress, level-attempt counts, and settings on your device. These saves let you continue playing and keep your sound, music, and vibration preferences. The App does not provide a NoviDoc account or a cloud-save service. Your operating system may include local app data in device backups according to your backup settings.

Gameplay analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the game is played and improve its levels. The App sends events about level starts, completion, failures, restarts, selections, tutorial steps, and story interactions. Event details can include level and zone numbers, attempt counts, moves, scores, stars, remaining cubes, merges, deliveries, blocked moves, time spent, and the highest level reached.

Firebase also processes automatically collected app and device information, such as app version, device and operating-system details, language, session activity, and identifiers used to distinguish app installations. It can process approximate location derived from network information and advertising identifiers where available and permitted by your platform settings. We do not send your name or email address in our custom gameplay events, and the App does not request precise GPS location.

Crash and performance reports

We use Sentry to diagnose errors, crashes, and performance problems. Reports can include error messages, stack traces, diagnostic breadcrumbs, performance timings, installation or event identifiers, and device, operating-system, and app details. The App does not set a named Sentry user profile or enable Sentry’s optional default personal-information collection. Service providers still receive network information, such as an IP address, when your device connects to their services.

Platform leaderboards

Where configured, the App connects to Apple Game Center on iOS or Google Play Games on Android. It may attempt to sign in through the platform when the main menu opens and submit your best completed score. Your platform player identity, display name, score, and ranking may be visible to other players according to that platform’s settings and rules. We do not receive your platform password. Core puzzle play does not require a NoviDoc account or a successful leaderboard connection.

Support messages

If you contact us, we receive your email address, the content of your message, and any device details or attachments you choose to provide. Please do not send passwords, payment-card information, or unnecessary sensitive information.

2. How we use information

  • Save progress and preferences and provide gameplay and leaderboards.
  • Understand level difficulty, tutorial usefulness, and gameplay patterns.
  • Find and fix crashes, errors, and performance issues.
  • Respond to support requests and protect the App against misuse.
  • Meet applicable legal obligations and address disputes.

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, processing may be necessary to provide the service you request, serve our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving the App where those interests are not overridden by your rights, comply with legal obligations, or rely on consent where required. This policy does not itself grant consent or replace consent required by law.

3. Advertising and payments

The current App does not display advertisements or offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. Any payment for downloading the App is handled by the store that distributes it. We do not collect your payment-card or billing details. The presence of analytics identifiers does not mean the App displays ads.

4. Service providers and sharing

Analytics and diagnostics are processed by Google and Sentry to provide their respective services. Apple or Google processes platform sign-in and leaderboard information under its own terms and privacy rules. Email providers process messages sent to our support address. We do not sell personal information.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, or protect our rights. The App can open external store and legal pages; those websites handle visits under their own privacy policies.

  • Google Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information
  • How Google uses information from apps that use its services
  • Sentry Privacy Policy
  • Apple Privacy Policy and Game Center privacy information
  • Google Play Games profile and privacy settings

5. Retention and security

Local saves remain until they are reset where the App provides that option, app data is cleared, or the App is removed. Device backups may retain copies separately. Removing local data does not automatically remove previously submitted leaderboard scores, analytics, or diagnostic reports.

We keep support correspondence, analytics, and diagnostic information for as long as needed for the purposes described above, including applicable legal obligations. Provider retention settings also apply. We use reasonable safeguards and restrict access to those who need it, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

6. Your choices and privacy rights

You can manage Game Center or Play Games sign-in and profile visibility through the relevant platform, and use device controls to manage app data, backups, and advertising identifiers where available. The current App starts analytics and diagnostics automatically and does not include an in-game switch to disable them. Advertising or tracking controls may not disable all analytics or crash reporting.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and complain to a data protection authority. Contact support@novidoc.com to make a request. We may need reasonable information to verify your request and locate records. Because the App has no NoviDoc account, we may be unable to link some installation-based records to your email address. Requests relating to your Apple or Google player profile should also be directed to that provider.

7. Children’s privacy

Out of Place is a general-audience puzzle game and is not specifically directed at children. Parents and guardians should supervise children’s use of online services and platform accounts. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information without authorization where required by law. If you believe a child has provided information that should not have been collected, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.

8. International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Applicable safeguards and provider data-protection arrangements govern those transfers where required; using the App does not waive your rights.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the App or our practices change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice where legally required. For privacy questions, contact support@novidoc.com or visit Out of Place support.
